This out of bounds play starts in the box set formation and will often give your team an open layup. One player gets a triple screen to create the open layup opportunity. If a defender helps on the cut, another player rolling to the basket should be open for a shot attempt.
When the official hands the ball to O2, players O1, O4, and O5 move to screen for O3. O3 sets his defender up by taking a hard step toward the baseline and then breaks hard around the triple screen for a pass from O2.
After O3 cuts around the screen, O4 will roll to the weakside short corner. O5 will roll to the right side of the basket. O1 slides out to become the safety valve.
O2 will initially look to pass to O3. If O3 uses the screens properly, he should be open unless the defenders switch and/or help. Should a defender help off of O5 or O4, one of them will possibly be open for a pass from O2.
